I have 7 years of international field experience with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). I gained extensive project management and development experience from my work as a Project Manager in Albania with the UNDP. I spearheaded the development of a UNDP project that focused on the integration of Roma (Gypsy) minorities into Balkan society. I was recognized for outstanding work performance, as I generated $3M in funds based on a comprehensive project describing societal priorities, resources and risks. I, further, delivered dynamic presentations detailing objectives, phases based on project components and an effective work plan, which separated tasks into manageable segments over a three-year period. Furthermore, in my work in Albania as a UN Volunteer Project Coordinator, working within a team, I was able to effectively support the creation and implementation of a 10-year, regional development strategy by developing, planning, analyzing and coordinating programs and funding. The result was tremendous, as we achieved 28 infrastructure projects, where the majority of projects built were schools, health centers and water supply systems for rural communities. To ensure project longevity, I led cross-disciplinary teams to evaluate results. Also, I wrote quarterly reports, as well as provided a budgetary expenditure report for my supervisors, for local government and to the donor.
Why I chose to volunteer with Endeavour:
I have always been an advocate of volunteerism and can appreciate the work that Endeavour does for local communities. I wanted to spend my time and energy in capitalizing on the skill set that I have developed as an international field worker.
