As part of the continuing professional development series offered in partnership by Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits and the GTA Chapter of CMC-Canada, we are pleased to offer the session “Ethics and Corporate Responsibility: Its Role and Relevance in an Organization” on October 23, 2009.
The session will include:
- Fundamental concepts, practices and methodologies amongst various companies driven in part by an increasing demand for ethical and transparent behaviour
- A presentation followed by a panel discussion composed of seasoned consultants
- Q&A session as part of audience engagement and participation

Presenter:
Jim Love, FCMC; CEO, Chelsea Consulting Group; President and Managing Partner, Performance Advantage
Jim Love is the chair of CMC Canada’s largest member services chapter, a Fellow, Certified Management Consultant (FCMC) and President and Managing Partner of Performance Advantage, a Canadian consulting company with international reach and experience in a range of industries, including financial services, natural resources, aerospace, health care, government, manufacturing, and high tech.
Jim is a consulting veteran with over 30 years of experience in both senior business and IT roles. His consulting career has included roles as Global Vice President for DMR Consulting and Principal at Ernst & Young. Jim is an expert in a number of consulting disciplines, including Strategy, Performance Metrics, Lean & Six Sigma, Portfolio Management, and Program Planning. He is passionate about leveraging people, processes and technology to enable high performance teams.
Jim has written numerous publications and is a frequent contributor to prestigious journals such as the U.S. based Cutter Journal. His recent articles include “Getting On the Same Page - Dashboards and Strategic Metrics”, May 2006, “Get Real With Strategic Budgeting”, March 2006 and “SOX Without Losing Your Shirt - Compliance and Process Transformation”, September 2005. He is currently working on a new series entitled “Portfolio Management Without Tears”.

Candace T. Grant, BA, MBA, GDipKM, PMP, Assistant Professor, Ted Rogers School of Management
Candace Grant BA (Queen’s University, Chemistry), MBA (Royal Roads University), Graduate Diploma in Knowledge Management (Royal Roads University) is a professor in Information Technology Management at the Ted Rogers School of Management. Candace brings to the School over 25 years in the information technology sector focusing on software development, process improvement, quality assurance and knowledge transfer. Amongst the positions she has held are Director of Consulting Services to support a knowledge-based suite of products for IT Professionals; Manager of Methodology and Quality Assurance for a Systems Integration firm; Program Manager for a financial services regulator. Organizations with which she has worked include Scotiabank, AT&T, Virgin Mobile (UK), the Financial Services Authority (UK), the Post office, national and regional governments and voluntary associations.
Candace has extensive experience in course design, development and delivery in both the private and the public sector. Her research interests include the ethical use of knowledge in today’s knowledge-based economy and the role of knowledge in project-based environments.
She is the coordinator of two courses, Knowledge Management and Ethics for IT Professionals, at the Ted Rogers School of Management.
Bob Mcculloch, Principal, CYOR & Energy Exchange; FCMC; Past Chair & Board Member, CMC-Canada
Over the past 30 years, Bob has helped senior managers and executives strengthen their creativity and strategic thinking. He has worked with executive teams in virtually every industry sector.
The primary focus of Bob’s consulting practice is in coaching and facilitating senior management to formulate business strategy along with potent action plans, while helping to strengthen the organization’s capability to make strategic choices on an ongoing basis. Bob is recognized for his ability to galvanize a management team around a clear vision and strategy, and to support mobilization of that strategy.
Prior to launching his own firm, he held strategic positions with IBM Canada, the DMR Group, and Johnston Smith International.
Bob holds a BSc from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Ontario.
Dr. John A. Estrella, CMC, PMP, CBAP, CTFL, CSTE; President, Agilitek Corporation; Instructor, Chang School at Ryerson
Dr. John A. Estrella specializes in helping senior management deliver large and complex IT projects. John worked on various consulting engagements for some of the world’s most respected organizations in Asia, North America and Europe.
In addition to his management consulting career, he shares his unique and rare blend of expertise by authoring books and courses in project management, business analysis and software testing which are available in Canada, U.S., U.K., France, Sweden, Japan, India and other countries.
An eloquent and engaging speaker, he quickly connects with his audiences by presenting personal experiences, practical examples and simple recommendations.
John was awarded a scholarship by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Educational Foundation for his doctoral studies. He is a member of PMI, CMC-Canada, IIBA, ASQ, CAPS, NSA, IFFPS, IAC and TASSQ.
On the personal side, he is a husband, father, Scout leader, martial artist, marathon runner, triathlete, scuba diver and avid outdoor person.
