Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits is an independent non-profit offering pro-bono strategy consulting in management and business to non-profit or social-mission organizations in Toronto and neighbouring cities to help strengthen and sustain impact in the non-profit and social sectors. Role & Responsibilities


Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits is looking for an Online Content Manager to manage our online content in support of our marketing and communications.  
   
As the Online Content Manager, you be responsible for managing Endeavour’s online content, including content on our website (www.endeavourvolunteer.ca), any microsite(s), facebook group, third-party websites (e.g. CharityVillage and volunteer listings), e-newsletter, and any other social media websites that we may join in the future. 


You will play an integral role in a young and successful organization, and work closely with a diverse Executive Team of young professionals and university students.
 
Your specific responsibilities as the Online Content Manager include the following: 
  • Staying up-to-date on what’s happening with our organization, volunteers, partners and supporters.  The Executive Team will help you do this by keeping you in the loop on what’s going on.
  • Updating, editing, creating, and managing our online content (as listed above) to ensure it is current, easy-to-read, professional and consistent in messaging
  • Working closely with the Marketing Director, IT Director, President, and other executives and volunteers on our upcoming website redesign project
  • Providing suggestions to enhance user experience, website traffic, marketing, etc. to achieve our goals
Requirements:


We are looking for someone who fits the following profile to join our team as the Online Content Manager:
  • A self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, organized, and efficient to be able to keep our online content up-to-date
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, strong attention to detail, and an eye for good design to be able to ensure our content reflects our professionalism
  • Knowledge of basic HTML, FTP, Adobe Photoshop (or a similar graphics program), and Wordpress (it is easy to learn) to update our online content
  • Ability to collaborate and deliver results in a virtual work environment
  • Familiar with Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits an asset
  • Knowledge of website and social media trends, and search engine optimization an asset
As necessary, our IT Director will provide technical assistance to support your work.
 
We do not require you to commit a certain number of hours per week, but do require content to be updated regularly and quickly.  More content updates occur at the beginning of each new consulting engagement, currently around April and September.
