Endeavour Welcomes 5 New Clients and More Than 40 Volunteers for Round 7 (Fall 2010/Winter 2011) Consulting Engagements

We are excited to introduce Endeavour’s Round 7 (Fall 2010/Winter 2011) consulting engagements:

  • Strategic Planning with the Canadian Group Psychotherapy Association (CGPA), an association dedicated to fostering and providing education and training for mental health professionals in group psychotherapy across Canada. Learn more about the client and consulting team.
  • Long-Term Branding Strategy with the Canadian Students for Sensible Drug Policy (CSSDP), a grassroots network dedicated to providing education and resources to empower students and youth in their work on substance use issues facing their peer groups and communities. Learn more about the client and consulting team.
  • Marketing and Branding Strategy with Freeing the Human Spirit, a charity dedicated to promoting and advancing the physical, mental, and spiritual development of inmates in Canada through the practice of meditation and yoga. Learn more about the client and consulting team.
  • Strategic Planning with the Public Affairs Association of Canada (PAAC), an association dedicated to helping public affairs professionals succeed, including defending the rights of individuals and community organizations to lobby. Learn more about the client and consulting team.

More than 40 new and returning consultants, engagement managers, project advisors and knowledge brokers join Endeavour for Round 7. We invite you to learn more about this diverse and accomplished group of professionals and students!

Endeavour has come a long way since launching its pilot project in Fall 2007. We would like to say a special thank you to the countless number of volunteers at Endeavour and our client organizations for all their time and work in making our communities stronger.

Fall Orientations Kick Off Round 7 Consulting Engagements

Endeavour’s Round 7 Engagement Manager Orientation on September 19th brought together new and returning engagement managers to share their experiences and perspectives on managing a successful team and engagement. Jim Love, CEO of Chelsea Consulting and an Endeavour project advisor, was also at the session to share his professional and volunteer consulting experiences and advice.

Endeavour’s Round 7 Volunteer Orientation on September 26th brought together Endeavour executives, project advisors, engagement managers, consultants and knowledge brokers.

The orientation focused on preparing volunteers for consulting with the non-profit sector. Guest presentations included non-profit consulting with Alex Gill, Principal of Mendicant Group; non-profit resources with Steven Ayer, Senior Research Associate at Imagine Canada; and preparing for the first client meeting with Dr. Zayna Khayat, Associate Partner, SECOR.

1. CMC-Canada

Fundamentals of Management Consulting Course, November 19th to 21st

2. Toronto for Acumen and Nura Project

Founded by former Endeavour volunteers, Toronto for Acumen, in partnership with Nuru Project, present DIGNITY IN FOCUS, a one night photography auction and exhibition benefiting the Acumen Fund, a non-profit venture fund that uses entrepreneurial approaches to alleviate global poverty.
