Organization
Windfall was established in 1991 to assist homeless and emergency shelters meet their client’s needs for new clothing. Today, Windfall is an award-winning, registered charity that receives donations of new clothing and personal care items, small household goods and school backpacks. The charity works in partnership with over 90 community-based social service agencies to ensure that donated items are reaching clients who are enrolled in programs leading to their independence. Now in its 17th year of operation, Windfall has proven itself to be one of Canada’s most cost-effective charities, putting over $25 worth of basic-needs items into the hands of people in need for every $1 spent to operate its programs.
