Somali Family & Child Skills Development Services (SFCSDS)

Organization

The Somali Family & Child Skills Development Services (SFCSDS) was established in 1992 by members of Somali Community who were aware of the lack of services to develop the skills and promote the social welfare of the community, especially women and children and youths.  SFCSDS helps families, children and youth realize their full potential through collaborations with community organizations to develop integrated community-building skills, indigenous leadership, and community-building creativity in order to build local capacity and achieve greater economic, social, cultural, and human development.

Organization website: www.sfcsds.org

Project

Although SFCSDS has been in existence for over 17 years, the organization and its services are not visible to the community. Endeavour has been engaged to develop a marketing strategy, including identifying SFCSDS’ core competencies, current client constituency, needs of the current client base and the services it should  focus on, to increase the visibility and branding of the organization in its community and riding.
