Organization
Motion’s Youth and Community Centre (MY.CC) is a non-profit in the seed stages of development. It currently provides a minimal number of services in the Pickering community, including March Break camp. MY.CC’s goal is to operate 7 days a week catering to the community residents of Pickering and surrounding area. The Centre will provide the community with a central location where youth may gather safely for recreational activities, receive assistance on their academic assignments and enjoy the positive influence of qualified supervision. Through collaborative partnerships with the Durham District School Board and nearby schools, MY.CC will be able to focus on the scholastic needs of individual youth and assist them in the most effective way. We will foster healthy morals and respectful relationships between youth and adult. MY.CC will offer carefully planned activities involving sports and recreation, arts and culture, tutoring, as well as structured after school “drop in” programs. The centre will also engage families of the community in regular family oriented activities such as sports events, local talent exhibition’s, weekly classes and much more.
