Volunteer Intern at Office of the Consulate General of America , Political and Economic Section( Fall 2007): Researched and drafted a report on counternarcotics efforts in Ontario. Updated biographical sketches for new cabinet ministers of Ontario. Produced brief written summaries of current events such as the arrest of a drug smuggler by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents, Ontario’s reaction to a federal tax cut announcement, a reduction in landing fees at Pearson Airport, the deal between Magna and Canadian Auto Workers Union and a strike at a First Nations casino. I also compiled information on the new Ontario Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs and began working on a report about cross-border truck transport. Attended the Canadian American Business Awards and the Ontario Trucking Association annual conference. Helped in organizing a luncheon for Colorado governor during his visit in Toronto.

Why I chose to volunteer with Endeavour:
Endeavour is a community of bright and ambitious people who not only aspire to do well in their respective mainstream careers, but also want to lend a helping hand in making this world a better place. Instead of following the most well trodden path of volunteering at a pre established organization, they have taken the initiative to form an organization of like minded human beings who possess the technical and humane skills required to work with non-profit organizations. The fact that Endeavour provides strategic consulting solutions to non profits attracted me to it as I feel that this not only helps the organization in general, but it also reaches out to the larger public and hence forms a greater meaning of social service. I am a great believer in giving back to society in any way or form, and this organization gives back its technical skills to the needy when they require it the most.
