Volunteer Event Photographer

About Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits (Endeavour)

Founded in 2007 by a team of University of Toronto alumni, Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits (Endeavour) brings together skilled volunteers to provide pro-bono management consulting to non-profit and social mission organizations in Toronto and neighbouring cities. Endeavour is currently led by eight executives and five advisors working in consulting, industry, the public sector, and academia. To learn more about us, visit www.endeavourvolunteer.ca.

Volunteer Role

Endeavour is looking for a committed individual to take photos at our volunteer events. Depending on the candidate's skills, interests and time commitment, the position may evolve to encompass greater responsibilities (e.g. design). Photos will be displayed on our website and in other communciations (e.g. event packages, sponsorship package, promotional materials, newsletters, etc.), allowing the professional, amateur or hobbyist to build his/her portfolio. Our events also offer a great opportunity to learn more about consulting and the non-profit sector, and to meet university students and professionals from various fields.

Volunteer events currently held and scheduled include the:
  • Orientation (next one scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd)

  • Mid-term feedback session (tentatively scheduled for a weekend in August)

  • Final presentations (tentatively scheduled for a weekend in November/December)

  • Fundraisers and socials (TBD, may occur on a weekday evening or weekend)

These events occur throughout the year (and currently approximately two to three months apart from each other). For more information on these events and photos, please see our Events section.

Requirements

We're looking for someone who can:
  • Commit to attending all of our events for the full duration and take photos throughout the event (e.g. of presenters, audience, volunteers)

  • Take high quality images

  • Take initiative to get a good photo (e.g. moves around and asks people to get together for a photo)

  • Take good candids

Assets:
  • Ability to enhance and edit images in Adobe Photoshop (or similar software) for posting on website

  • High quality digital camera
