Volunteer Role

To support our growing success, we are looking for a motivated and committed individual to join our Executive Team as Director, Web Communications & Design. This person will be responsible for helping to maintain and build Endeavour's professional image and communications with the public through our website (www.endeavourvolunteer.ca). Our website reflects the professionalism, quality, energy and talent of our people and organization, and is regularly updated to communicate and promote our work to the public. It is usually the public's first, and most frequent, point of contact with our organization. Website visitors and users include potential, current and former volunteers (including industry professionals, university professors, graduate students, and undergrads), clients, partners and supporters.

The Director, Web Communications & Design will be responsible for:

• Maintaining and building upon our well-designed website

• Regularly updating the website with content and images

• Laying out content in a way that encourages readership

• Suggesting and implementing enhancements (e.g. new content, layouts)

• Occasionally consulting with the other Endeavour Executives and Event Photographer to update/create pages (each section/page of the website will be "owned" by an executive member)

• If possible, assisting with the design of other communications (e.g. newsletter, presentation slides, information packages, etc.)

Requirements

We're looking for someone who has:

• The skills to carry out the above-mentioned responsibilities

• A sense of urgency (the ability to update the website quickly!)

• Strong initiative to get things done and implement improvements

• A knack for simple, eye-catching design
