Endeavour provides management consulting to enable non-profit leaders to improve organizational performance and social impact. We are a volunteer organization that serves non-profits that otherwise cannot afford professional consulting. Since 2007, Endeavour has recruited and managed more than 200 volunteers to provide management advice to non-profits helping communities in many areas, such as the arts, children and family services, disabilities, education, environment, healthcare, immigrant services, rural development, skills training, poverty relief, and youth development. Endeavour is looking for a volunteer to join the Marketing & Communications team as a Social Media Coordinator. You will be joining the organization at an exciting growth stage and will be responsible for managing activities that will improve Endeavour’s outreach and communication online and strengthen its brand in relevant touch points for the online non-profit industry. The role is ideal for someone with social media experience that is able to work independently. We are looking to recruit two people for this position.


  • Manage the assigned social media property(s) (Facebook, Twitter and/or LinkedIn), including daily monitoring, posting, and content development, in order to maximize Endeavour’s exposure, awareness and engagement
  • Individually and/or in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team, brainstorm monthly topics to cover in social media channels
  • Develop a social media calendar for content curation and ensure consistency across all social media channels
  • Identify potential organizations/bloggers/evangelists with whom there can be mutual benefits and engage with them via social media channels
  • Engage with other users to increase brand awareness and the number of followers
  • Attend events (e.g. training sessions, mixers) to post live social media updates and photos
  • Define and track key social media metrics and use this information to determine what tactics are working and what is not
  • Report notable threats/negative feedback to appropriate management


  • Demonstrated knowledge and interest in the non-profit industry and community impact
  • One (1) year of experience with social media
  • Excellent copywriting, communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to collaborate and deliver results in a virtual work environment
  • Resourceful, independent self-starter
  • Strong motivation and initiative to take the lead in carrying out responsibilities
  • Great organizational and time management skills
  • Minimum 6 months commitment to Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits
