Endeavour provides management consulting to enable non-profit leaders to improve organizational performance and social impact. We are a volunteer organization that serves non-profits that otherwise cannot afford professional consulting. Since 2007, Endeavour has recruited and managed more than 860 volunteers to provide management advice to more than 110 local, national and international non-profits based in Canada, primarily in the Greater Toronto Area. Our non-profit clients help communities in many areas, such as the arts, children and family services, disabilities, education, environment, healthcare, immigrant services, rural development, skills training, poverty relief, and youth development. Endeavour is looking for a volunteer to join the Consulting Division as a Project Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing 2 or 3 engagements per project cycle.


As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following areas:

Project Preparation

  • Attend Orientation Session and help teams with project set-up
  • Communicate with teams prior to the start of the project to facilitate team introductions and knowledge center access

Project Performance Management

  • Monitor team performance and work through review sessions, debriefs, progress reports
  • Lead monthly meetings with consulting teams to address any concerns, answer questions, and flag issues that arise
  • Provide support to team as needed (i.e. help direct them to resources, appropriate advisors)
  • Report issues with consulting team to Director of Project Management
  • Attend training and review sessions in each round (if applicable)

Team communications

  • Maintain communications with consulting teams on timelines, resources, events, deliverables, and other relevant information


  • Previous Endeavour volunteer experience is an asset
  • Previous project management experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
  • Availability to attend and assist in facilitating review sessions
  • Strong motivation and initiative to take the lead in carrying out responsibilities, and identifying and implementing new initiatives to enhance project experience
  • Ability to collaborate and deliver results in a virtual work environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Long-term commitment (1-2+ years) to Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits
  • • Available to travel to subway-accessible meeting spaces in the Toronto area
