Endeavour provides management consulting to enable non-profit leaders to improve organizational performance and social impact. We are a volunteer organization that serves non-profits that otherwise cannot afford professional consulting. Since 2007, Endeavour has recruited and managed more than 300 volunteers to provide management advice to non-profits helping communities in many areas, such as the arts, children and family services, disabilities, education, environment, healthcare, immigrant services, rural development, skills training, poverty relief, and youth development. Role

Endeavour is looking for a volunteer to join the Knowledge Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping building and maintaining knowledge management systems to support the operations, as well as growth and sustainability of the organization.

Responsibilities

Supporting Operations Strategy for IT & KM Areas

  • Assist the Director of KM with building and maintaining knowledge management initiatives within the organization
  • Assist the Director of KM with developing solutions and identifying technologies that improve efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Assist with the development of policies and procedures for Operations division such that they are in line with the overall organizational strategy
  • Provide guidance on succession planning for the division and development milestones towards achieving sustainability within IT & KM portfolios
Organizational Contribution
  • Manage and enhance the online knowledge center and executive corporate portal to facilitate dissemination and retention of knowledge and experience within the organization
  • Update and improve the existing platform for consulting teams to facilitate online collaboration and virtual teamwork
  • Develop and publish knowledge management and retention frameworks in accordance with Endeavour’s long-term strategic objectives
  • Identify critical tasks that should be undertaken for successful implementation for on-going projects

Qualifications

Required:

  • Understanding of online web development and data storage tools and platforms
  • Experience in both process and project management
  • Significant interest in non-profit sector and at least 12 months of commitment to Endeavour
  • Ability to effectively manage priorities
  • Ability to collaborate and deliver results in a virtual work environment
  • Strong motivation and initiative to take the lead on identifying and implementing new initiatives to enhance project experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

Preferred:

  • Understanding of client relationship management platforms with experience in requirements and specification development
