Endeavour is looking for a volunteer to join the Marketing & Development Division as a Fundraising & Events Manager, reporting to the Director of Development. In this role, you will be responsible for spearheading Endeavour’s fundraising success, including organizing and planning Endeavour’s revenue-generating events as well as managing the volunteer grants program.


As a Fundraising & Events Manager, you will be responsible for one or more of the following areas:


  • Lead event planning initiatives for Endeavour’s fundraising events from start to end, including venue selection and booking, and food and catering
  • Assist in developing event theme and target audience(s)
  • Help identify and recruit guest speakers (e.g., industry experts, Endeavour advisors, past volunteers, clients)
  • Recruit attendees (e.g., community members, professionals, students, Endeavour volunteers)
  • Invite guests, as required
  • Work with Marketing & Communications to develop promotional announcements and materials for Endeavour’s website, newsletter, Facebook, LinkedIn, partners, etc.
  • Work with the Director, Development and the Vice-President, Marketing an Development to develop line-item event budgets for approval, and to monitor and report expenses
  • Work with IT and Finance to collect and monitor online registrations and payments
  • Coordinate logistics for the day of the event (set-up audio/video/room layout, name-tags, ticket sales, sign-in, payments, receipts, greeting speakers/visitors, organizing volunteers)
  • Negotiate profit-sharing from drinks/drink ticket sales (if applicable)


  • Obtain sponsorships for events, including coordinating with relevant executives and Communications to develop sponsorship packages/proposals as necessary
  • Carry out activities related to any sponsorships obtained
  • Build and maintain relationships with sponsors and relevant parties
  • Assist with future sponsorship initiatives


  • Manage the volunteer grants program


  • Collaborate with relevant divisions to develop and execute individual and institutional donor strategies



  • Minimum one year commitment to Endeavour
  • Strong motivation and initiative to take the lead in carrying out responsibilities, and
    identifying and implementing new initiatives
  • Excellent planning, communication, organizational, relationship-building and time
    management skills
  • Ability to collaborate and deliver results in a virtual work environment
