Endeavour is a Canadian charity that recruits, trains and matches teams of skilled volunteers with non-profit organizations in need of management consulting. The Evaluation Associate will provide support to the Director of Research and Evaluation. The goal of the Evaluation unit is to measure and improve Endeavour’s impact with nonprofit clients, volunteers and partners. To help with those efforts, Endeavour is looking for an Associate to focus on qualitative data collection and analysis.


Under the Director of Evaluation, the Evaluation Associate’s main tasks will include:

  • Following-up with clients after their projects have been completed, and interviewing them to assess the impact their Endeavour project has had on their clients and organization
  • Drafting case summaries on Endeavour projects’ long-term impact
  • Analyzing and reporting on qualitative feedback from the interviews, as well as from client surveys and volunteer consultant surveys
  • Attend team meetings

Additional tasks may include:

  • Revising data collection tools
  • Writing blog posts
  • Assisting in presenting results to Endeavour Executives and other stakeholders



  • University degree in the social sciences or management (e.g. sociology, psychology, nonprofit management, business, etc.) and completion of a course in evaluation or performance measurement
  • Experience collecting primary data (both qualitative and quantitative is preferred)
  • Experience analyzing data (both qualitative and quantitative is preferred)
  • Experience in writing literature reviews
  • Experience collaborating and delivering results in a virtual work environment (e.g. Google documents, Google pools/surveys, Skype meetings, etc.)
  • Availability to attend meetings in downtown Toronto
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Great organizational and time management skills


  • Membership in an evaluation society
  • Consulting experience
  • Experience working with small nonprofits
  • Volunteer experience
  • Experience with and access to qualitative analysis software


  • Gain applied experience in all aspects of conducting research to increase an organization’s impact
  • Gain insights into what results in successful consulting engagements with small nonprofits, ranging from local grassroots groups to established national charities
