Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits (Endeavour) is a registered Canadian charity that provides management consulting to improve organizational capacity and community impact. We focus on serving non-profit organizations that otherwise cannot afford professional consulting.

Since 2007, Endeavour has recruited and managed more than 300 volunteers to provide management advice to more than 50 non-profit organizations in Ontario, helping communities in many areas, such as the arts, children and family services, disabilities, education, environment, healthcare, immigrant services, rural development, skills training, poverty relief, and youth development.

Endeavour is looking for volunteers to join the Consulting Division as Member, Client Selection Committee. In this role, you will be responsible for helping Endeavour with Round 13 client selection.


As Member, Client Selection Committee you will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Assist in outreach activities to attract the right non-profit organizations to apply for our volunteer consulting services
  • May involve contacting organizations, posting on non-profit sites, or any other means of reaching out to potential clients
Application Screening and Client Interviews
  • Review project applications and evaluate them according to Endeavour criteria
  • Schedule and conduct interviews with clients and document client interviews
  • Participate in client selection committee alignment meetings/calls
  • Provide recommendations to Endeavour’s Advisory Board about client selection
  • Introduce mandatory client forms to selected clients and assist with completing these forms
  • Share client information with consulting teams



  • Volunteer consulting experience with Endeavour
  • Experience collaborating and delivering results in a virtual work environment (e.g. google documents, google pools/surveys, skype meetings, etc.)
  • Availability to attend interview (in-person or phone) during the week of May 27th and May 31st 2013
  • Availability to attend Client Selection Committee training (2 hours; outside of regular business hours) on June 1st or June 9th, 2013 (TBD)
  • Availability to attend two or three in-person client interviews in Toronto during the week of July 22nd and August 9th, 2013
  • Strong motivation and initiative to take the lead in carrying out responsibilities, and identifying and implementing new initiatives to improve client selection process
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Great organizational and time management skills
