Senior Leadership Team

Andrea Wong, President

As Founding President, Andrea has led Endeavour to engage hundreds of professionals and corporate leaders in pro bono consulting with Canada’s non-profit sector since 2007. Recognized for her pioneering work in the pro bono movement, Andrea is a Global Pro Bono Fellow of Taproot Foundation and BMW Foundation, and represented Canada at the inaugural Global Pro Bono Summit in New York City in 2013.

It was through her volunteer consulting experience in university that Andrea developed a greater understanding and appreciation of both the challenges and opportunities in the non-profit sector. This inspired her to create Endeavour, to connect with like-minded individuals to engage the talents of the community to improve the sector’s capacity and impact. An advocate of pro bono and skills-based volunteering, Andrea has presented and facilitated workshops on the topic at various meetings and conferences, including the 2014 Global Pro Bono Summit and with Volunteer Canada’s Corporate Council on Volunteering.

Andrea’s work experience spans the non-profit, public and corporate sectors, including at United Way Toronto & York Region, the Ontario Hospital Association, and RBC Global Asset Management.

Andrea holds a Master of Public Policy, Administration and Law from York University, completing research under Dr. Brenda Gainer, Professor of Non-Profit Management at the Schulich School of Business. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce with High Distinction.

Ada Tsang, Vice-President, Talent and Strategy

Ada Tsang is Co-Founder and Vice-President of Talent and Strategy at Endeavour. In her role, she works closely with the President and Board of Directors on the development, implementation and monitoring of the organization’s strategic directions, and oversees the development and execution of talent acquisition, development and retention strategies that meet organizational objectives.

With a keen interest in both the non-profit and public sectors, Ada has been actively involved in the community. She volunteers as a board member at the Four Villages Community Health Center and has acted as Quality Improvement Lead for the Hospital for Sick Children and a pro-bono consultant with the University of Toronto’s Volunteer Consulting Group. Through her work at Endeavour, she looks forward to enabling more non-profit organizations to not only achieve their goals, but also make a lasting impact in the communities that they serve.

Ada currently works as Project Manager for the Regional Geriatric Program of Toronto at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Her previous experiences include working as a Consultant in Deloitte Consulting’s National Health Services practice and as a Patient Safety Consultant at the Ontario Hospital Association.

Ada holds an MHSc Health Administration degree and a Bachelor of Applied Science and Engineering (Engineering Science) degree, both from the University of Toronto. Ada is a 2016/17 Fellow in the AFP Inclusion and Philanthropy Fellowship program.

Jeannette Ng, Vice-President, Consulting

As Vice-President of Consulting, Jeannette oversees Endeavour’s consulting practice. She leads a team of executives in client relations, project scoping and project management. Jeannette joined Endeavour in 2008 as a consultant, and expanded her involvement across five project rounds in client-facing and internal roles including engagement manager, knowledge broker, and member of the client selection and case competition committees.

Jeannette is a strong advocate of the value that Endeavour brings to its clients and volunteers through each engagement, and the resulting positive community impact. She brings her expertise in strategic development and operational management to support continuous improvement in Endeavour’s client and project management processes.

Currently, Jeannette is a Privacy and Information Security Analyst with the Ontario Association of Community Care Access Centres. Previously a Senior Information Management Policy Advisor with the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, she was the branch lead for the Health Links initiative and was responsible for providing strategic advice to support information management and patient privacy protection in Ontario’s healthcare system. She also has operational experience from NexJ Systems, an entrepreneurial information technology firm in the private sector.

Jeannette holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and Engineering (Engineering Science) degree from the University of Toronto.

Nouman Mufti, Vice-President, Information Technology and Infromation Management

As Vice-President, Information Technology (IT) and Information Management (IM), Nouman is responsible for leading and managing the development and implementation of Endeavour’s IT and IM strategies and plans to support day-to-day operations and to build the organization’s capacity for growth and sustainability. Impressed by how Endeavour is leveraging the knowledge and skill set of professionals for the benefit of non-profit organizations, Nouman looks forward to contributing his skills in the technology arena to help the organization grow.

Over the past 20 years, Nouman has held progressive roles as Project Director, VP of Professional Services and CIO in large corporations and SMBs. Currently, he is a managing partner at 4Growth Inc. where he is responsible for all IT related projects and services. With a track record of 22 years in strategic planning, business development, project management and product delivery, Nouman has also led teams of professionals in a variety of industries, markets and environments. He has designed, deployed and managed ERPs and SCM solutions including SAP, JDEdwards, Oracle Financials, Manhattan WMS, Teradata DCM, Microsoft Dynamics and BI. He in now involved in current technologies including cloud computing, Saas, big-data, e-commerce, mobile computing and predictive analytics.

Nouman holds a MBA from the University of Toronto.

Yvette Gauthier, Vice-President, Marketing and Communications

As Vice-President, Marketing and Communications at Endeavour, Yvette brings vast years of experience in brand development, strategic and integrated marketing and data-driven, targeted communications for Fortune 500 firms and non-profit organizations. She looks forward to working in collaboration with the executive team and leading and engaging talented like-minded team members who embrace the mantra of “paying it forward”. She is elated to be part of the Endeavour leadership team and looks forward to providing results for clients, and utilizing her experience to make an impact for businesses supporting pro bono.

Yvette is a marketing consultant, and as founder and former Co-President of a successful B2B boutique marketing agency, has spearheaded a myriad of initiatives that have included research, strategy and content development and planning, managing and motivating teams to deliver marketing and communication initiatives, integrating traditional channels, websites and social media. She has also led the successful planning and delivery of national consumer campaigns, corporate leadership events and awards galas, acquisition and retention strategies, metrics and reporting, leading to increased brand awareness, new revenue opportunities and 5 global awards for outstanding ROI. Some of the brands Yvette has worked with include Regesh Family and Child Services, Community Living Lennox and Addington, Canadian Investment Awards, D-Link Networks, Microsoft, Fidelity Investments and Scotiabank.

Yvette has hired and mentored marketing and event team volunteers, and provided pro bono services in the areas of brand development and standards, events, social media and deliverables for the non-profit sector. She has also developed strategies targeting families and high-risk youth, and built marketing and communication plans, content roadmaps and segmented messaging that educate business communities, professionals and non-profit partners, with the goal of supporting people who have an intellectual disability to gain professional experience within the community.

Yvette is a founding member of the Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals, has done various speaking engagements for small business owners and financial advisors and has held an active “Member of the Jury” position with the Morningstar Canadian Investment Awards since 2007.

Directors

Farzian Aminuddin, Director, Project Management

As Director of Project Management, Farzian oversees and manages Endeavour’s consulting engagements during each full six-month tenure. He’s passionate in his responsibilities and taps into his management strengths to lead a committee that nurtures, develops and equips Endeavour’s consulting teams, providing a strong support system and guidance during each engagement.

Farzian joined Endeavour as a Consultant during Round 15, rolling up his sleeves on a consulting project for a charity called Power Unit Youth Organization.

His commitment and dedication was a natural progression to become a Project Manager during Rounds 17 and 18 before becoming the Director of Project Management with Endeavour. The experience Farzian gained during these engagements empowered him to become an excellent resource who volunteers and clients can depend on.

Farzian holds a biotechnology degree from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from Simon Fraser University. He is currently a Program Manager for a non-profit organization in Toronto.

His dedication and focus is to support teams – an important part of what Endeavour offers to each team during a client engagement. He and his team will provide the necessary resources and tools during each 6-month initiative to successfully complete each engagement.

Anna Dopico, Co-Director, Training and Development

As Co-Director of Training and Development, Anna works with the Executive Team to develop and facilitate the execution of Endeavour’s volunteer orientation, training and development program.

Before joining the Executive Team in 2015, Anna volunteered with Endeavour as an Engagement Manager. As an Engagement Manager, she held responsibility for ensuring consulting engagements met client’s expectations and for fostering a learning environment. Endeavour’s focus on helping non-profits improve their organizational capacity and community impact is what motivated Anna to become involved with Endeavour.

Anna brings over 20 years of management experience with expertise in strategy planning and execution, as well as in large scale transformation and change. She has experience in financial services, retail, sports manufacturing, education, and health industries. Anna has also held a part-time teaching position as a result of her passion for learning and facilitation.

Anna holds an Executive MBA from Kellogg-Schulich, a Chartered Director designation and holds Project Management Professional and Risk Management Professional designations from the Project Management Institute.

Natalie Dykes, Co-Director, Training and Development

Natalie is passionate about improving the world of work. She is also a firm believer in life-long learning and development. In her varied career path, she has worked or volunteered in customer service, sales, property management and suicide prevention and crisis management. The one theme through all these roles, was that Natalie was always quick to become involved in the training and development of new staff or volunteers. She is excited to continue her involvement in training and development with Endeavour.

In her spare time, Natalie is an avid traveller and loves exploring new cultures. She has been to 25 countries, with her most recent adventures taking her to Iceland, and on a solo road trip through the Balkan countries of Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Hercegovina and Slovenia.

Natalie graduated cum laude with an MSc in Organizational Psychology from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. She also holds a BSc in Psychology with distinction from the University of Victoria.

Laura Gutsch, Co-Director, Volunteer Recruitment and Retention

As Co-Director of Volunteer Recruitment and Retention, Laura co-manages the recruitment for the consulting engagements, in addition to supporting the continuous development of consultant recruitment and retention.

Laura joined the Endeavour team in the fall of 2010 as a volunteer consultant to support the Canadian Students for Sensible Drug Policy in developing a new brand strategy. The team’s positive collaboration and client’s passion were inspiring. Laura returned as an Engagement Manager the next summer, leading a consulting team to support Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Canada. With a team of terrific consultants, they developed a marketing strategy aimed at placing PSR Canada in a position to develop further strategies and plans for long-term growth and success. Both engagements enabled Laura to collaborate with a tremendous group of people with an unwavering dedication to giving back to non-profits. She was also able to directly experience the impact the Endeavour teams have with their clients. Taking these positive experiences, Laura next moved to the Volunteer Recruitment and Retention Committee in an effort to support the recruitment of consultants, enabling them to have the same enriching opportunities. Supporting the consultant screening for several rounds, Laura is now looking forward to taking a bigger role in co-managing consultant recruitment.

Laura currently works for a small marketing firm, supporting client and project management. She holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, as well as having additional professional development in the areas of marketing and human resource management.

Emily Ho, Director, Marketing and Communications

As a marketing professional with over 10 years’ experience working on global brands, Emily is excited to be part of the Endeavour Executive team as the Director of Marketing & Communications. In her role, Emily is responsible for building the marketing communication strategy and furthering Endeavour’s growth. While getting her feet wet and having a fun and amazing experience as a consultant within a number of Endeavour’s client engagements, Emily joined the marketing team to continue her pro bono commitment to our non-profit organization.

Currently, Emily is a Learning Business Partner at TD Bank. Leveraging her marketing and business expertise, she is responsible for helping to drive the talent strategy at TD. Previously, Emily held marketing roles in strategy, campaign planning, marketing effectiveness, and customer experience at HSBC Bank Canada and D+H, a global Fintech company.

Fully armoured, this MBA graduate with a marketing specialization and a Bachelor of Science degree in Neural Computation, Emily is a talented holistic thinker. Emily enjoys applying her creativity, analytical and problem solving skills in her personal and professional life. She brings high energy to the team and is passionate about helping others succeed and achieve their goals. Whether it’s a non-profit organization, a team, or an individual – Emily enjoys diving in to understand where the need is and helping to develop a solution that achieves results. Did we tell you that Emily loves to travel around the globe too!

Chami Jayasuriya, Director, Evaluation

As Director of Evaluation, Chami works in collaboration with the executive team to evaluate and demonstrate Endeavour’s impact. She leads a team of associates in using evaluation to inform strategic directions and programming, and to foster a culture of learning, improvement and innovation.

Chami is passionate about building capacity and improving communities to create a better Ontario for its citizens. Through her experience in working in the non-profit sector in Australia, Chami understands the difficulties associated with community service providers in improving services with access to limited finances.

Chami is a chartered psychologist (non-clinical) with the British Psychological Society and has over 10 years of experience in research and management. Recently and closer to home, she has worked on several provincial evaluation projects in healthcare. Currently, Chami is working for Trillium Health Partners as a Senior Project Manager in improving Critical Care System within the hospital.

Chami is pursuing her Masters of Health Sciences in Health Administration at the University of Toronto. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology from the University of Aberdeen and a Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto.

Irene Koo, Co-Director, Volunteer Recruitment and Retention

Irene Koo is a clinician working in health quality management at SickKids Hospital focusing on improving the patient and parent experience. She started her clinical career at Mount Sinai Hospital in 2000 and spent many years at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital prior to joining SickKids Hospital as the Quality Leader in Ambulatory Programs in 2012. Irene also participates in research at Bloorview Research Institute.

Prior to quality management, Irene worked as a physiotherapist in intensive care, inpatient care, community care and rehabilitation. She also taught for many years at George Brown College in the Personal Support Worker certificate program.

Irene joined Endeavour in 2013 as a consultant on a project in Regent Park and was inspired to continue with Endeavour as an HR Committee Member helping to select future volunteers for the organization and inspiring her friends and colleagues to consider volunteer roles that fuel their imagination and passion for positive change.

Ken Lee, Co-Director, Project Management

As Co-Director of Project Management, Ken monitors the progress and overall project health of each consulting team. He ensures that each team receives adequate support and guidance to enable their success. He brings a big picture understanding of the Endeavour project process having previously volunteered as both an engagement manager and project manager.

In addition, he has considerable experience in the not-for-profit sector having managed projects in areas that include seniors’ healthcare, long-term care and community support services. This is complemented with his communications, leadership development and training experience in the public and private sectors. He also serves as a board member for an agency supporting community reintegration for people living with mental health challenges.

Rounding out his profile, Ken is a business professional and social cause supporter. After 15 years of professional experience, he uncovered one of his true passions, the passion to serve. He is an avid collaborator and solution builder. Armed with an MBA and three-sector experience he has been focused on helping community agencies for the past several years.

Kelvin Law, Co-Director, Client Relations

As Co-Director of Client Relations, Kelvin develops and nurtures relationships with Endeavour’s clients. As leader of the Client Selection Committee his responsibilities span throughout the year covering each semi-annual client selection process and engagement. Kelvin oversees the onboarding of clients and builds invaluable communication with clients throughout engagements to ensure their satisfaction. Kelvin’s growing responsibilities involve facilitation of post-engagement evaluations with clients to assess and identify Endeavour’s impact.

Since 2012, Kelvin began as an Endeavour consultant for a Round 11 engagement with PREVNet (Promoting Relationships & Eliminating Violence Network). His responsibilities grew as he became a senior consultant for a Round 12 engagement with the Rideau Environmental Action League, and then when Round 13 came around, Kelvin shifted his expertise to support Volunteer Recruitment and the Client Selection Committees.

Passionate about giving back to his community. Kelvin has an impressive track record holding various volunteer and student leadership roles at SickKids for over 7 years, involved in a plethora of student initiatives at University of Toronto, including the Life Sciences Career Development Society and becoming Vice President of the Molecular Genetics Graduate Student Association.

Driven with a passion for a positive impact, Kelvin has participated in the Shanghai Regional Finals for the $1M Hult Prize, a social venture healthcare challenge in partnership with President Bill Clinton and the Clinton Global Foundation.

When you meet Kelvin you think about a well grounded person who is delightful to be around, but rest assured, he is no light-weight. While earning his Molecular Genetics Ph.D. at the University of Toronto, he completed his studies at the Hospital for Sick Children. Kelvin’s tenure in the Developmental and Stem Cell Biology Program, proved to be successful invested time in researching and utilization genetic mouse models of disease to elucidate how Hedgehog signaling, a cellular communications pathway, that drives the maturation of neuronal stem cells and guides the patterning of neurons in the embryonic spinal cord; disruption of which causes lethal embryonic and congenital defects, as well as a predisposition for multiple cancers.

Raman Paulovich – Co-Director, Client Relations

In this role Raman works in tandem with Kelvin Law to establish and build relationships with Endeavour’s clients. He assists with client selection, onboarding, communication and satisfaction measurement.

Raman is already well versed in meeting challenges and addressing opportunities with Endeavour. He has volunteered with us on consecutive client engagements since 2014, progressing from Consultant to Engagement Manager on projects ranging from the development of an expansion framework for a micro-financing organization to creating a marketing strategy for a Meals on Wheels agency. “I’ve greatly enjoyed the variety and complexity of these projects, along with being part of a team to find creative and tangible solutions for these organizations’ challenges.”

Having completed a rotational Graduate Leadership Program at Bell Canada where he acquired experience in numerous business units from finance to marketing, Raman is currently working as a Strategy and Analytics Specialist for the company.

Raman has an undergraduate civil engineering degree from McGill University. As a student, he completed several internships in the construction and mining industries including eight months working as a mining engineer at a coal mine in BC’s Rocky Mountains.

In his spare time, Raman enjoys reading classic Russian literature, especially works by Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky.

Peter Ruta, Director, Finance

Peter joined Endeavour in 2016 and is responsible for financial management, including financial recording and monitoring, budgeting and forecasting, and preparing and presenting financial reports to the Board of Directors and members at the Annual General Meeting. In this role, Peter also works closely with the Treasurer to ensure strong accounting and internal financial controls are in place to support the financial health of the organization.

Peter is keen on continuing his involvement in the community and making a difference through his role at Endeavour. Prior to joining the Endeavour executive team, Peter was a member of the credit committee for the Black Creek chapter of the Access Community Capital Fund.

Peter currently works at Manulife in accounting and finance. He holds the CPA and CMA designations and an MBA degree.

Igor Skapinker, Director, Information Technology

Igor joined Endeavour as the Director of Knowledge Management in 2011. In this role, he developed and enhanced the platforms to provide knowledge sharing and retention within the organization.

In 2014 he moved to Director of Information Technology role. In this role, Igor is responsible for developing and implementing an IT roadmap to support Endeavour’s strategic growth. He is also responsible for managing the development and maintenance of web applications to improve the overall productivity of the organization from an IT standpoint.

Impressed by Endeavour’s vision and mission, Igor joined the organization so he could contribute his extensive experience in business and information technology to the community. He is motivated by the passion and dedication of many professionals who contribute their time and talent helping non-profit organizations. Combining his extensive industry experience with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, Igor’s focus is to help Endeavour build a technological base that will support the organization in achieving its strategic goals and growth.

Igor is one of the founders of RedSoft Global Services, a boutique IT consulting firm that helps organizations to achieve results and accelerate growth using Information Technology.

Igor holds an MBA degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
